Attorney General Meets With Technology Industry Leaders
Council Trustee Annmarie Levins, Associate General Counsel at Microsoft, hosted a breakfast meeting and interactive dialogue for Attorney General Martha Coakley to meet with technology industry leaders at Microsoft's New England Research and Development Center in Cambridge. Council Trustees Steve O'Leary of General Catalyst and Dave Balter of BzzAgent joined about 50 local technology, investment and academic leaders for the session. Topics discussed ranged from cyber security to non-competes. Recognizing that a heavy handed government would stifle innovation, the AG stressed her interest and openness to working with industry to formulate the best policy decisions. The Council will continue to work with the Attorney General and Patrick Administration to foster innovation and technology leadership in the region.
