Microsoft's Qi Lu on the Future of the Web and Search

I met up with Microsoft Online Services Division President Dr. Qi Lu at eVoo in Cambridge for an informal dinner with several of the region's tech and investment leaders. Lu, who has had quite a remarkable journey from poverty to his current post, was recruited out of Yahoo by Steve Ballmer himself and charged with revitalizing Microsoft's online efforts in search and advertising (including Bing), Web software, services, and infrastructure. Prior to dinner, I dropped by an xconomy event at Microsoft NERD to hear Lu's presentation on the "Future of Web and Search" where he outlined his vision for where the web was going, how Microsoft is shaping its future, and how search will be completely transformed. This video covers the highlights of his talk and reactions from several of us in attendance.

I like to just work on a few sites and getting links. I try to improve Computer Service Boston site a week and get links every few days this way i know over time the sites will do better in search engines.
